Are the bags waterproof?
All of our bags are made from waterproof fabric and are sold as water-resistant. They are designed to be worn year-round.
Newer models in the Original bag, also come with a drawstring inside the top of the bag to make it waterproof.
If you have a leather bag, we advise you treat the leather with a specially designed polish or protector (just the same as you would do with leather shoes).
What can I fit in the bag?
The spacious main pocket is ideal for carrying a lead, toys, mobile phone, gloves, paw drying mitts, basic first aid kit etc. or anything you may need on a longer walk.
The front of the bags has a poo bag dispenser and a handy pocket for storing a hand sanitiser. The pocket on the rear of the bag is ideal for keeping keys and headphones.
The bags also have side pockets which are perfect for bottles or larger toys which may not fit in the main pocket. There is a handy treat section at the front of the bag which is ideal for finding treats in a hurry when recalling your dog.
Can I wear a bag around my waist?
The Velcro straps at the rear of the bag allow you to attach the bags to your own belt so it can be converted into a bum bag. We also have a new range of bags with plastic clips in place of the Velcro. These hook onto a belt and provide a more secure fit.
Are your bags unisex?
Yes! Barking bags knows no gender. All our bags are 100% unisex and come with an extendable strap which can be changed depending on your height.
What if my bag breaks?

Can I be notified of when you restock certain products?
If a bag you are looking to purchase is out of stock, you now have the option to be notified when the stock comes in. Simply enter your email address and we will do the rest. That way you’ll be the first to find out.
Can I wash my bag?
Polyester bags can be washed in a gentle wash in a machine (but do place them in a pillowcase or laundry bag so that the clips do not damage the machine). The fabrics may fade over time with repeated washing and may suffer from sun bleaching.
Leather trimed bags, such as the Khaki bag, should not be emersed in water but the fabric can be cleaner with a brush and warm soapy water.

You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.
When are orders sent out?
Orders placed before 1pm will be dispatched the same day (Mon-Fri) for the delivery service that you have selected.
Can I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched a tracking number will be provided.
With this tracking number you will be able to see updates in relation to your delivery.
Standard delivery is sent via Royal Mail 48hr tracked.
Express delivery is sent via Royal Mail 24hr tracked.
Can I cancel or amend my order?
Once your order is placed, it becomes locked for shipping.
It's not possible to cancel or amend orders once they are placed, regardless of how quickly the request to amend the order comes through.
If you wish to cancel or amend your order after placing it, you will need to return the products as per our terms and conditions.
If I order on a weekend, when will I receive it?
Your order would be picked and packed on Monday, depending on the delivery option you choose, the order would likely either be with you on Wednesday or Thursday to Friday the same week.
A tracking number is provided once your order has been dispatched for your convenience.
Standard deliveries are sent via Royal Mail 48hr tracked.
Express deliveries are sent via Royal Mail 24hr tracked.
Which UK couriers do you use?
For our UK standard options, we use Royal Mail 48hr tracked.
Express delivery is sent via Royal Mail 24hr tracked.
We don't have the option to specify alternative couriers for your order unfortunately.
Is shipping free?
We offer free shipping on orders over £50, in the UK, this service is the Standard 48 hour Royal Mail shipping service.
Do you offer next day delivery?
If your order is placed before 1pm, Monday to Thursday, to a UK mainland postcode, your order is eligible for next day delivery.
You will need to select the Express shipping option at the checkout. Please be aware this is a Royal Mail 24hr service and not DPD.

Do you offer gift cards?
Absolutely, you can order gift vouchers on our website. We offer them in multiples of £10.
Can I buy and send someone a Barking Bag as a gift?
At checkout, there is an option to send your purchase to a different address.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards on our website. We also accept PayPal, Google Pay and Apple pay.
Do you offer any discounts/discount codes?
We regularly offer discounts and offers. They will be present on the website at the time of ordering.
Do the bags come with a warranty?
We offer a 1-year warranty on all Barking Bags. This covers any manufacturing faults (e.g. broken straps, clip failure, broken zips) but not general wear and tear as we anticipate our bags will get lots of daily use!
How can I return my bag?
Please contact us within 30 days of receiving your item should you wish to return it.
Items should be unused and in a resalable condition. You must pay the cost of returning an item. We suggest you use a signed for or insured method of delivery. If you are returning an item for exchange, then you will need to pay for the delivery of the exchanged item.
When sending the bag back, ensure you’ve put your name and order number so we are able to refund you.

Refer-a-friend programme
How does the refer-a-friend programme work?
Our programme is simple! Sign up and give your friends a 10% discount. When your friends buy from your invite link, you get a £5 reward!
Which products can the referral discount be used on?
The referral discount is eligible for any of our product collections, excluding sale items, accessories and gift cards. The discount cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. There is a minimum order value of £20 for the discount code to be eligible.
My code isn't working?
The referral discount can't be used on sale items, gift cards or in conjunction with any other offer. There is a minimum spend of £20 to use the referral discount.
Do the referral rewards change?
We reserve the right to change the rewards within the referral scheme.
Do the referral discount codes expire?
Yes, advocate reward codes expire after 60 days, friend rewards expire after 30 days. We are not able to re-issue discount codes.

Delivery damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Manufacturing faults and issues
Our products are made from high quality fabrics here in the UK, the general quality is extremely durable for this reason. Due to the nature of dog beds being likely to become chewed and scratched, we don't offer a warranty and guarantee on the longevity of our products.
How does shipping work?
Our products are hand-made to order so take between 3-5 working days to be produced from date of order.
Orders are shipped with a range of couriers on a 48hr service once the production has been completed. You will receive a dispatch notification and tracking number once your order has been sent.
We don't currently ship overseas.
